Muyabet is a marketplace that connects customers who need a job done with professionals in Ethiopia. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using muyabet.com you agree to it.

1. What we collect

• Account: your phone number (Telegram or SMS login), or your Google account email and Google ID (Google login), your name, language, and a contact phone number if you sign in with Google.
• Telegram: your Telegram chat ID, so the login can finish and so we can send you job and offer alerts.
• What you post: tasks (title, description, area, budget, photos), offers and messages, and reviews you write.
• Professionals: profile (bio, services, areas, experience) and, if you ask for verification, photos of your ID (front, back, selfie) and your ID number, or the result of a Fayda check.
• Payments: when you buy credits, the payment is made on Chapa's page. We keep the amount, reference, status and method; we never see or store your card or wallet details.
• Technical: basic logs such as IP address, browser and time, used to keep the service secure and fix problems.

2. Google sign-in

If you choose "Continue with Google", Google tells us your email address (and that it is verified) and your Google account ID. We use them only to create and recognise your Muyabet account. We do not read your Gmail, contacts, calendar or any other Google data, and we do not post anything for you.

Muyabet's use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. How we use your information

• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To show your tasks to matching professionals, and show offers to customers.
• To share your contact with a professional only after you choose "Show contact" on that professional's offer, and to show a customer a professional's contact after the customer does so.
• To verify professionals and show a verification badge on their public profile.
• To send alerts (Telegram, and WhatsApp or SMS where enabled) about new tasks and offers. You can turn these off on the Alerts page.
• To process payments, review reports, and prevent fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. What other people can see

• Everyone: a professional's public profile: name, bio, services, areas, rating, reviews and verification badge. Reviews show the customer's name.
• Matching professionals: the details of an open task (not your phone number).
• Your phone or email: only after the sharing step described above.
• ID photos: only Muyabet staff, through private links that expire after 10 minutes. They are never shown to customers.

5. Services we share data with

We use these providers to run Muyabet. Each receives only what it needs:

• Google (sign-in) · Telegram (login and alerts) · Chapa (payments) · an SMS provider and WhatsApp Cloud API (alerts and codes, where enabled) · Fayda / eSignet (national ID check, only if you choose it).

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect users and Muyabet from fraud or harm.

6. How long we keep it, and your choices

• We keep your account data while your account is active.
• You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, including ID photos, at any time (see Contact below). After deletion we may keep records we must keep, such as payment records, and anonymised reviews.
• You can switch alerts off on the Alerts page, or block the bot in Telegram.
• Stored data sits on a protected server; ID photos are kept in private storage that is not reachable from the web.

7. Children

Muyabet is not for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will also be announced on the site.
